Dear fellow Rotary leaders,

Congratulations on your Institute.

Your dedication to our family of Rotary is what builds the irresistible experiences we
hope to achieve in every club and district. We need your drive and determination if we
are to reach our goals, such as defeating polio and unlocking the power of girls and
women.

By building connections and a sense of belonging within our family, you give Rotary the
potential to improve the communities we serve and create lasting change everywhere.
I hope your Institute offers you a chance to deepen your connection to our family of
Rotary. It is so important that everyone in our family feels the sense of belonging that is
so necessary to our success.

By fostering this belonging, we help each other bring healing in a divided world.
May your Institute bring you and your clubs closer to each other and the communities
you serve.

If we work together and support one another, we can and will change the world with The
Magic of Rotary.

Warm regards,

Stephanie A. Urchick

Dear fellow Rotary leaders,

Welcome to the 2024-25 Action Zone institute for Zones 28 and 32 in Toronto, Canada.
This is an exciting opportunity to make new connections, share successes, and identify
ways we can all improve. You will experience firsthand how The Rotary Foundation is the
engine that powers our good works around the world. This is your chance to learn more
about our Foundation and bring those lessons back home to your club and district.
With the help of our Foundation, our work to eradicate polio has been truly magical. The
global eradication effort has reduced cases by 99.9% since our first project to vaccinate
children in the Philippines in 1979. Eradicating polio remains our top humanitarian
priority as long as polio threatens the world’s children. There are so many ways you can
help through our Foundation. You can start by joining or initiating a PolioPlus society in
your club or district and engaging all members to make eradication a reality no matter the
obstacles before us.

Beyond polio eradication, The Rotary Foundation is committed to creating lasting change.
It is up to us to ensure our projects are sustainable and measurable so that Rotary’s impact
continues long into the future. We can also increase our impact through District
Designated Funds, which power district grants, global grants, Rotary Peace Centers, and
more.

To achieve Rotarians’ aspirations, the Trustees have set an ambitious fundraising goal of
US$500 million this year. Together, we will achieve this goal. You can help through
leading by example. I encourage you to enroll in Rotary Direct, our recurring giving
program. You can also raise awareness of the Paul Harris Society, through which Rotary
members generously commit to give US$1,000 to the Annual Fund every year.
This year we will also reach our Endowment Goal of US$2.025 billion by 30 June 2025. I
encourage you to consider this effort as you define your Rotary legacy.

Events such as this remind us that our Foundation propels us toward a brighter future.
Rotary leaders like you make that future possible by volunteering, leading, and giving.
Together, we will connect the world, Do Good in the World, and share the Magic of
Rotary.

Kindest regards,

Mark Daniel Maloney
Chair, The Rotary Foundation, 2024-25
